We were three photographers who could not find a bag that did not look like a bag for photographers. Everything was black, padded, bristling with straps, and made by somebody who had clearly never carried one through an airport. So in 2014 we made our own, in a garage in Portland, and put it on a crowdfunding page to see whether anyone else wanted one.
They did. Ten years and a few hundred thousand bags later the rule has not changed: nothing goes in the range until it has done a season on the road with us, and nothing is made anywhere we have not stood.

Every spring the whole team takes the range out for a fortnight. Bags get soaked, dragged, overstuffed and thrown in the back of a truck. What comes home intact is what we sell.
