    Sheet 01 — the workshop

    Twelve people, one floor, a hundred and forty square metres

    We started in 2019 because the instrument we wanted did not exist at a price anybody we knew could pay. It still does not, particularly, so we keep making it. Everything is designed, populated and tested on one floor in Malmö, and nothing goes into the range until one of us has taken it apart and put it back together with the wrong screwdriver.

    Every instrument in the range spends an hour here before it ships

    If you open it

    You will not void anything. There is no sticker over a screw and no fuse that blows when you get inside. Break something and we will sell you the part.

    The rules we have not broken yet

    It comes apart

    Six screws, a T6 driver, no glue and no clips that snap off. The schematic and the board layout for every instrument we have ever sold are on this site, free, including the two we discontinued.

    One knob, one job

    If a parameter matters enough to exist, it gets its own control. Nothing is two presses deep in a menu, and there is no companion app, because an app is a way of shipping an unfinished instrument.

    Parts for ten years

    Every encoder, jack, fader and display in the range is held for a decade after the model leaves it. We have replaced a jack on a 2019 unit for the price of the jack.

    Made where we are

    Boards are populated forty minutes from here and assembled on this floor. We are not going to pretend that makes them cheaper. It makes them fixable, and it means the person who designed it can walk over and look at it.

    No sales

    The price is the price, all year. A discount in November is an admission that the price in October was wrong.
