    Backstage

A studio for selling what you know: real lessons, a classroom, live sessions and a certificate.

For a creator selling courses, video and time, whose page has to make one stranger trust one person enough to pay for what they know — and then teach them well enough to come back.

    Graphite#0E0E11

The ground. Near-black with a little blue in it, never pure.

    Bone#F1EFE8

Type and the light cards. Warm off-white, so black on it reads as ink.

    Acid#D9F551

The one signal: buttons, progress, the free mark, the featured tier. Rationed.

    Ember#FF6A3D

Anything live or loading: the live dot, the countdown, the loading bar.

    Slate#26262C

Hairlines, rules and card edges. Never a fill.

Built for a creator who teaches, and built around the thing they actually sell: the lessons. Each course is authored on the product form — modules, lessons, the video itself, readings, quizzes, files, live sessions — and streamed to buyers in a classroom that remembers where they stopped, plays the next lesson, takes their notes and issues a certificate at the end. Free lessons play on the product page before anyone pays.

Graphite ground, bone type, one acid-lime signal for buttons and progress and one ember for anything live. Headlines are set in a grotesk with tight tracking; labels and numbers in a monospace; everything else is quiet. Corners are small, edges are hairlines, and nothing is a pill. Pages fade into each other behind a thin ember bar; modules open with a turn; stats count up; a lesson row lights on hover. All of it stands down for a reader who asked for less motion.

Eight sections come with it and exist nowhere else: the creator profile, the free-lesson player, the curriculum, the course facts, the student’s own continue-learning row, the live schedule, the tier grid and a palette switch that swaps to a daylight set. The course builder and the classroom it feeds are available to every shop.

    Made of

    • Corners are small: 6px on cards and buttons, 4px on badges. Nothing is a pill and nothing is square.
    • Cards sit on the graphite with a 1px slate edge and no shadow; under the pointer the edge lightens and the card lifts 2px.
    • Buttons are acid on graphite, or bone-outlined; they darken a step under the pointer and never scale.
    • Every lesson row carries a monospace duration and a kind mark; free ones glow acid, locked ones carry a small lock.
    • Pages fade and rise into each other behind a thin ember bar; sections arrive from below as you scroll.

    Voice

Direct, first person, unhurried. Say what you will teach and what it costs. Let the lesson list and the free lesson do the selling.

    Put Backstage on your shop

$49 once, for one shop, yours for good — there is nothing to renew. Buying it changes nothing until you apply it, and applying it keeps the words you have already written.

Drawn for people who teach. What a shop for this work needs covers the rest of it.

If you want this one adapted to your shop, or something built from nothing, that is a conversation rather than a checkout. ex@akashi.studio
